Second Tuesday: What It Costs, In Truth

  • Dornsife Center 3509 Spring Garden Street Philadelphia, PA, 19104 United States (map)

Most people, as Maya Angelou put it, get older but don’t grow up. “It’s so damn difficult,” she said. “They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children.” In her mind, growing up is serious business: “It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy.”

Join us for our first workshop of the new year as we reflect on the pains and pleasures of growing up—throughout our lives, again and again—and on, as Angelou said, “what it costs, in truth.”

Free and open to all. Community dinner immediately following. Masks are encouraged.
