Second Tuesday: When Is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?

  • Dornsife Center 3509 Spring Garden Street Philadelphia, PA, 19104 United States (map)

Perhaps, with spring approaching, you are noticing the birds more. Perhaps you love birds because you remember some bird characters from beloved childhood books or television shows.

Join us for our March Second Tuesday workshop with Valerie Fox, where we will create poems and microfictions that explore our relationship with nature, and specifically, the birds. We’ll ask ourselves: What can we gain by listening to the sounds and songs of nature, and of the birds? What can we do to improve our shared world? In short, what can we learn from the birds, and how can we make that part of our own written works?

Free and open to all. Community dinner immediately following. Masks are encouraged.
