Join us Thursday, February 9 at 6pm for our February Open Mic at Writers Room. The theme for the night will be Delights and Other Small Joys. 

Ross Gay writes of his encounter with a praying mantis in his collection The Book of Delights, "This bug seems to be dancing—it kind of pounces on the four legs beneath its abdomen, bouncing and swaying, like its hearing music I'm not yet tuned to. And, trying to tune in, I notice the swell and diminuendo of cicadas nearby, and another cricketish chirping just over in those forsythia."

In the spirit of Ross Gay, join us on the 3rd Floor of Ross Commons to share what has delighted you lately for this month's Writers Room Open Mic—all art forms are welcome. Anyone interested in sharing their work will be able sign up at the event. The event is free and open to everyone, and light refreshments will be available.
