In this workshop we’ll get down to the bones of our writing with the help of the Mütter Museum. This Philadelphia treasure will allow us to think about our bodies and medical science's treatment of them in a new light. The Friday workshop following a Thursday tour will ask us to consider writing not from our head or our hands (our normal writerly locations) but from somewhere deeper. To quote the poet Rainer Maria Rilke: “The work of the eyes is done. Go now and do the heart-work on the images imprisoned within you.”
