Wilfredo Hernandez is an interdisciplinary artist, cultural producer, consultant and leader. He is the Founder/CEO of Communitas Arts & Culture, LLC and the Founder/Executive Producing Director of the Drag Arts Oral History Project. His 20-year career includes work with several notable organizations, including Disney Theatrical Productions and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. He received his MA in Producing & Directing Theatre from NYU and is a graduate of the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond program: Undoing Racism for Community Organizers. Hernandez is also a graduate of the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office on LGBT Affairs’ Leadership Pipeline Program. He holds a certificate in philanthropy from Stanford University and serves on the board of the Philadelphia Cultural Fund. He was one of seven Americans in the inaugural cohort of “Building LGBTQ+ Communities in Germany & the US” by the American-German Institute/Johns Hopkins University and was one of 40 national leaders accepted to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Culture of Health Institute for Racial Healing.
