Stephanie Dorenbosch came to Drexel in August 2022 as the Assistant Director of the Stern Community Lawyering Clinic at the Kline School of Law. For the previous 11 years, she worked at legal services nonprofits in Philadelphia, focusing on tenants’ rights practice and advocacy since 2017. As the Director of Tenant Advocacy at TURN (the Tenant Union Representative Network), she taught know-your-rights workshops to thousands of Philadelphians, oversaw the Philly Tenant Rights Hotline, and worked with advocates and city officials to develop new tenant protections during the pandemic. Dorenbosch has managed two medical-legal partnerships, recovered thousands of dollars of stolen wages for workers, and secured legal immigration status for victims of labor trafficking. Throughout her career, she has felt fortunate for opportunities to support, collaborate with, and learn from organizers and movement groups working towards economic and racial justice.
